A community-based travel baseball program created to give our players more opportunities to train, compete, and grow together — while representing Whitemarsh on the field.
The Marsh Cannons program is dedicated to helping players develop their skills and experience the game at a higher level.
Our teams are exclusive to Whitemarsh Little League players — See eligibility
Built for the benefit of our league and its players, the Cannons provide additional opportunities for growth, competition, and teamwork while representing Whitemarsh Township on the field.

The Marsh Cannons were founded as a community-based alternative to academy and AAU baseball. What began as a single team has grown into multiple age groups, offering players the chance to:
Train year-round with experienced volunteer coaches
Compete in local leagues and tournaments
Develop skills in a supportive, team-first environment
The Cannons remain a not-for-profit, volunteer-run program. Every decision we make is rooted in providing players more opportunities to play competitive baseball while staying connected to our community.
Season Structure
The Cannons program runs November through August, with a break for Whitemarsh Little League’s spring and summer seasons.
Key Milestones
Tryouts – Held in September/October; rosters announced in early November
Indoor Training – January to March (skill development, strength, and conditioning)
Outdoor Games & Tournaments – March to May
Break – June and July for WLL summer baseball
Optional Late Summer Tournament – August
Fall Season – At coaches’ discretion, teams may enter fall leagues or tournaments.(Sept/Oct)
Notes
Specific dates and locations for tryouts will be posted once details are confirmed.
Player Eligibility
Players must be registered with Whitemarsh Little League and actively participate in the recreational season.
Cannons rosters are determined through independent player evaluations (different from WLL team selections).
Participation in Cannons does not affect, enhance or guarantee selection to a Whitemarsh summer baseball team.
Program Costs
Because the program is not-for-profit and run by volunteers, costs vary by team depending on tournament choices, outside trainers, and other expenses. Costs are evenly shared among players and coaches will provide an estimate before teams are formed.
The expenses typically cover:
Indoor training facility rentals
Uniforms
Independent trainers
League and tournament entry fees
Umpires and shared equipment
